So I guess it is my turn to announce my 2009 New Year’s Resolutions … after all everyone’s doing IT these days!
In no particular order …
1) Write more, read more, listen more
2) Hire my clone – Ok maybe not an exact duplicate as I don’t believe that can be found. I know that there is some highly talented individual out there that is eager to work with me. If you happen to know of such a person send them my way!
3) Take more pictures! Looking through my archives in 2008 I didn’t take nearly as many pictures as 2007. Maybe it is just that those that I did take, I don’t like??? My newly created Photography room should help! I promise not to make you look at them all.
4) Try to figure out and appreciate why people are in my life. Maybe then they won’t drive me insane along the way!
5) Listen to more music! Why? Music inspires, it provides energy. Sometimes it provides much needed company in an otherwise empty office.
6) Stay focused. This is a BIG one! I swear that I have AADD; easily distracted by shiny things. To do this I will be working over the next couple of weeks to outline the “plan” for the year. What do I REALLY want to get accomplished and how will I do it?
7) Think less – Do More. This is related to #6. I think my mind is processing tons of information at all times yet very little seems to come to fruition. If only I could get credit for all of the time I have spent thinking about going to the gym. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way!
8) Eat breakfast EVERY day. This may seem silly, but for me this is a change in my routine and habits. I’ve been very bad about this all my life … although getting better (as I take yet another bite of my apple oatmeal).
9) Stop listening to the news, it’s all bad anyway. (OK maybe just cut down on the amount of time spent listening to the news)
10) Oh and the ever popular go to the gym more often!
Looking forward to 2009!

Your list overlaps mine a lot, especially with "music" and "focus." It's always important to investigate new tools and techniques -- then quickly decide if they help or are a distraction.
